Oh kody. I wish I could know you. You are one brave young man. You inspire me to follow through with my plan to create a rescue to rehabilatate the bulley breeds that are going to be euthanized at or local shelters. Some of which call themselves No-Kill. We will give them their 2nd chance with love training and socializing. Keep at it young man you will go far.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, how many of these people who subject these wonderful dogs to this type of cruelty would volenteer to jump in the same pit with Dan Henderson, Anderson Silva, Quinton Jackson or Chuck Liddel? No worries though we’ll pump them up with go juice to get their blood boiling, file their teeth razor sharp and throw out all the rules. What? No takers? Didn’t think so. People who fight dogs are cowards. People who watch are pathetic excuses for human beings.

Ok, we have a 14 year old kid here who witnessed a dog fight that would tear my 40 year old heart apart. He writes a book of fiction from what he imagines the dog’s perspective would be and all you people can comment on is how dog fighting isn’t really like that? That this will encourage others to emulate the training methods for their pit bulls? Game Dog even calls dog fighting is a sportThis book affected me to my core being. In my opinion it may help to open the eyes of people who don’t know the true heart and soul of a pit bull terrier. I have an 18 month old spayed female who is the most sensitive loving dog I have ever owned and I have had many breeds of dog. She has never been hit in her life and though protective of herself around bigger dogs she doesn’t know (smaller ones she licks when they bite her) she will take abuse from the neihborhood poodles and other dogs she does know without recourse. You’ll need God’s help if you plan on hurting my puppy. Fighting dogs is one of the lowest and cruelest form of human behavior. Maybe this young man’s book can let us see it from a dog’s perspective. This kind of crap is still happening people. To Kody; Keep feeling for dogs in your heart young man and thank you for trying to make a difference.

It is so funny to see “old tymer” and “dog man” who can’t even string two sentences together, yet feel the need to come on here to bash a 14yr. old’s STORY. As others pointed out, it is not a documentary, it’s a STORY (aka FICTIONAL WORK).
Get a life, “old tymer” and those who think they did a good thing by throwing two dogs into a pit “the right way”.
As far as I am concerned…oh, and wait a minute, law enforcement…is concerned…there IS no right way to fight dogs!
Go reminisce about your sick glory days (or is it GORY DAYS) elsewhere, your dog fighting forums would seem a natural place to do so.

I read this first chapter and then read some of the comments…..

As for those of you disagreeing about what he has posted out of this first paragraph I see nothing wrong. What I sadly see is the truth on dog fighting. You should watch the video done by Bobby Brown called “Off the Chain”, yes these horrific things happen, hell I have seen one hooked up to a car battery charger and killed that way, and no it did not die on their first attempt. With this movie you will also see a dumpster full of dogs that “lost” the fight.
Puppies are used for baiting just as other small breeds of dogs are used. Yes they get prodded and poked with sticks, shovels, brooms, even cattle prods.

I see nothing at all wrong with this first chapter, and I think Kody is doing a great job, and I cannot wait until I can buy a copy of this book. As for the person who said something about their kids reading it…. there are so many other books in print that you need to worry about, hell I would imagine you need to be more worried about what your kids are texting more than you need to worry about then reading this book, great parent with great parenting skills would not object to their kids reading this and would probably read it also and have a family conversation about it.

Kody, will this book be available through amazon?

And I want to say, great job kid, I wish I could get my 14 year old involved in such an idea…………… hats off to ya!

P.S. the writing really isn’t good. The facts are not even close. the terms are all confused. Oh wait…we all keep ignoring the fact that this is a fictional tale! Its not suppose to be a biography, auto biography, a manual, or a testimonial! Its a story! Its a story to try and show a perspective of a dog! Maybe the dog calls a broom handle a prod stick. Maybe a dog thinks a 2 year old is a puppy? Maybe this is 100% accurate from the dogs point of view? Ever think of that? You not so smart smart people. Use your energy to go investigate and expose a real dog fighting ring and then you can come back and tell Kody he is full of shit! Maybe! This kid is so beyond you all in intelligence and forethought! If he keeps one kid from doing this he HAS accomplished something! If some thug retard billy bastard reads this and tries to emulate it there would have been another book, story, movie, or friend he talked to that would have resulted in the same thing! You can not ban, or stop, one single book from being sold, read, or published or you become no better then Hitler! This kid does not have to be accurate. A free market will ultimately judge this book and determine its success. All you idiots are doing is spreading the word and making it more likely to boom! Seriously applaud him for making an effort! Even the ACO above probably won’t have as big of an impact on the lives of Pit Bulls, positively or negatively. Hell she has probably helped destroy more Pit Bulls then this book could ever have in ten lifetimes!

To all of you ripping apart Wild Hearts written by a 14 year old puts you into a league of you own. Not a league I would even consider signing up for!

Tell me what did all of you accomplish at the age of 14? Cat got your tounge?

It seems as though it’s so easy for some of you to assume the worst from a book. Will a 14 year old actually change our world by writing a story? If so please give me a piece of paper and a pen.

I commend such a young man for being able to write a book and then sit back and watch some of you condemn his accomplishment.

Give Kody credit, did anyone actually say all the facts were true? Its a book, get over it. I mysel will sleep sound again tonight just as I have every night since Wild Hearts was published.

Think about it was Humpty Dumpty really an egg? Does Captain Underpants really exsist? Did you protest any of this SHAME SHAME SHAME some people never change!

So I for one hope that Kody will hold his head high, be proud of himself and realize you can’t please everyone.

Hats off to you Kody keep up the good work and best of luck in the future.

P.S. Maybe some of you should have channeled your energy into purchashing a book instead of giving our youth no reason to strive, stand on their own two feet, believe in themselves, reach for the stars and respect freedom of speech!!!

This book is off a 14 year olds imagination this should not be taken seriously he got his information from a show that was aired to discredit the american pitbull terrier. Yes dogfighting is wrong but this book does not even make sense and I quote “Vince used a prod stick on Shadow and forced him to back away into his corner of the ring” would this take more away from a dog in a fight leaving it disoriented ……This book should be put on the same shelf as harry potter and lord of the rings I would hate to see him write a book on politics then everyone would be trying to vote him in the white house.

Heres a 14yr old boy writing unbelivable garbage about a once respected great breed that has been on this earth for hundreds of years . At 14 yrs old he has’nt even dipped his big toe in the river of life let alone been around the breed , yet you are willing to publish a book written by a child that is nothing but a fairy tale. If he had written from the dogs story of how he was a much loved dog, who from puppyhood had been given nothing but the best care and attention and love from its master,and how loyal he was to his master and family,and was a constant companion etc etc . You would’nt have given it the time of day!!!!! The breed has enough negative media coverage, without a ficticious story that is so far from the truth its ridiculous.I have been involved with the breed for over twenty years with no problems from the dogs i kept and raised, my children grew up with them and they to now have the greatest breed on this earth bar none!!!!! Folks who buy this book should remember its nothing but FICTION written by a 14yr old CHILD who knows NOTHING about these dogs. Maybe you could get him to rite about elves and goblins he then may be the next J.K. ROWLING, because a doman he will NEVER be.
