The “almost not” Tom Frye
On January 13th, I had an aneurysm of the aorta. 90% of the people who suffer this, do not survive. I blew through three red lights to get to the ER, but that quick drive saved my life. Within an hour after being transported by ambulance to Bryan Health, I was operated on. The surgery lasted 6 hours. I was in the ICU unit for 5 days and finally released to go back home. This is the first time getting back on my computer.
I have missed all of you and hope to keep up a daily contact on here. I lost my job of 12 years due to this health issue, so I have no income currently, so we shall see how I make my $100 per month payment to Windstream to keep my computer alive and well.
This is just a brief update to let you all know I am still above ground. And hope to be here for a while longer. Days before suffering this, I was notified by Facebook that I had 140,000 Likes for the articles and poems that I post. Not bad for a wanna-be author, right?
I have a coffee cup with this saying on it, “God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now, I am so far behind, I don’t think I will ever die.”
I think I will claim that.
